this is one of those journals........you can feel it in your gut. you can cry on one sentence and then laugh out loud on the very next. i am only as much as i can be....which is what God made me. and now - here i am again......telling y'all the things that run's suicides and windsprints in my mind (you have to be an athlete to KNOW what suicides are!). in - joy...

Class Controversy
ETHS 2660 African American culture has started for Spring semester 2006.
I have 27 students in my class. A few students of color… 2 males.
There are two required texts: Why are all the black kids sitting at the cafeteria table together? and Ain’t no Makin It: Leveled aspirations in a low-income neighborhood.
After assigning the first 2 chapters and the introduction of Tatum’s book for Tuesday of week 2- I got this email from one of my students on Saturday. I’ll fill you in on how week 2 turned out after this.
